The indestructable handle comes with spring steel bars to ensure that the head never gets dislodged from the handle. The vulcanized rubber handle absorbs impact and vibration, reducing user fatigue and protects the user in the event of striking an electrical wire. It is tested for 36,000 strikes both direct and overstrikes at a strike rate of 80 blows/minute with no deformation. The drop forged head has induction hardened (50-55 HRC) striking ends. It has a trademark Estwing blue color head with head size and length identifier. It includes a steel reinforced lanyard hole. The head weight is 4 lb and the overall length is 16".
