Irwin 8127 Fractional Tap, 5/16-18 Thread, Plug Tap Thread, 4-Flute, HCS

Four straight flutes are ground to provide rapid chip removal for efficient threading also for hand threading work in a variety of materials. Taps produce a class 2B thread. Used in applications such as routine maintenance, repair work and for rethreading where high accuracy and tolerance thread is not critical.
